This is why I don't really want to get married

Crap like this

Sure, I'd like to probably "be married" one day and share a house and a bank account with someone and maybe have kids or something. But I don't really want to "have a wedding". Weddings suck. Some girls have a princess-complex and they plan out their dream wedding and they make the guy do a bunch of stupid, embarrassing stuff like choreographed dancing and they spend a lot of money to make it "just right" and make a big deal about everything and nobody really cares.

I just don't like to draw a bunch of attention to myself. I wouldn't like to throw myself a big, expensive party either. I don't even like the attention from my birthdays, and a wedding would probably be 100 times worse. I know that weddings are important for the family and it's a really fun thing for the bride to think about and plan their whole lives and everything. I get that. Just please don't make me learn a dance and perform it with you in front of everybody.

My "dream wedding"? A low-key, no-drama event where everybody is having a good time and listening to some great music (picked by me) and eating food and talking to each other and maybe after dinner some impromptu hip-hop dance party. No histrionics. No weird attention-grabbing theatrics by the wedding couple. I just couldn't deal with all of the forced attention.
