Coachella 08: Most life-changing

Prince put on a legendary, $4.8 million dollar performance that made tens of thousands of people feel like the luckiest people in the world to have witnessed it. Prince himself said we were "at the coolest place in the world", and boy was he right. 2 hours of classic hits, the most amazing guitar solos I've ever seen (played with only his right hand on the fret!), legendary guest stars (Morris Day and his valet Jerome from Purple Rain, Sheila E.), amazing cover songs of Radiohead's Creep and The Beatles "Come Together", and the most gifted musical genius of our era throwing us the party of our lives. We were so tired too, having stood on our feet for over 12 hours at that point ( he played until after 1 am), but he had jumping and dancing and screaming the "Wooohooohoohoo's" of the "Purple Rain" coda. At the end of his set Prince triumphantly proclaimed that "this is Prince's house now"! And as far as I'm concerned, the main stage of Coachella is Prince's to own. He saved Coachella this year.
There will never be another Prince.
