Young @ Heart

I saw the documentary "Young @ Heart" the other day and I really liked it! It's just a really good, simple story of a group of old folks who sing rock songs in a choir preparing for a big concert. It's a joy to see these elderly 90 year-olds sing Ramones and Sonic Youth songs, but I really loved how much music meant in the lives of these people on the brink of death. Music kept their minds active and the Young @ Heart choir gave these people something to look forward to, all while touching the hearts of anyone lucky to hear their music.
I feel that music is such an important part of my life, and this beautiful film showed how music can save us from the daily grind that is life.
