Stephen Malkmus & the Jicks put on one of my favorite shows of the weekend. Malkmus, the legendary singer of Pavement (the one band that has most influenced everybody at Coachella) and his band are true musicians, jamming out on songs from their new album, "Real Emotional Trash". They are almost like Television circa "Marquee Moon", which is one of my favorite albums. And Malkmus, a truly gifted guitarist, playing with Janet Weiss (of Sleater-Kinney) was almost too great to be true.
