Coachella 08: Most exclusive

Aphex Twin hasn't played in the U.S. in like 8 years or something, so it was a pretty big deal when he played the Sahara Tent on Friday. And he didn't let the crowd down, mixing his beautifully difficult music with a coveted intensity that other electronic musicians should envy. His set started slow, but gradually built up throughout his set until the last 20 minutes were of the most intensely violent glitch hop imaginable. Now I see how many think that Radiohead was just trying to rip off Aphex Twin on "Kid A". And he never looked up or acknowledged his audience once. I felt pretty lucky to see this legendary recluse.
