The Hedgehog in the Fog!

This is an amazing animated film from the Soviet Union that came out in the mid-eighties. It's a beautiful fable about a hedgehog that has some incredibly progressive (regressive?) animation.
I heard about it while I was reading an interview with Michel Gondry. He said this short film was one of his favorite things in the world and that it has inspired him more than any other work of art. You can see a lot of Gondrys' own animation techniques in "The Hedgehog in the Fog". Watch it, it's about 10 minutes long!
